About Sam

My name is Sam Falco, and I love crime! Fiction. I love crime fiction. I certainly have not committed any crimes myself and I certainly am not sitting on tens of thousands of dollars from a bank robbery, waiting for the statute of limitations to run out. And that’s all I’ll say on the subject without the presence of my attorney.

Words and language have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. I’m especially interested in the ways we use language not only to build understanding, but also to prevent it. Influences include Alfred Korzybski, George Orwell, and S. I. Hayakawa. As a fiction writer, I’m indebted to Flannery O’Connor, Kenneth Millar, and Robert Crais, just to name a few.

I have an M.A. in English from the University of South Florida. I live and work in St. Petersburg, FL. When I’m not writing, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, and woodworking.
